Nicolo Allado is an aspiring game designer who specializes in 3D art and animation. He is a senior in the Honors College at George Mason University who is majoring in Computer Game Design and minoring in Animation, and is graduating a year early. As a game artist, he is knowledgeable in many different art software, including the Adobe Creative Suite, but specializes in the use of Blender and the Unreal Engine. He is now looking for any opportunities that would allow him to work in a professional context and to gain valuable industry experience.
Nicolo has worked on many different games while in the program. He is currently working onhis senior project, an action RPG called Phantasm, where he has worked on 2D and 3D art for the main character and the bosses. He has worked with the Game Analysis and Design Interest Group (GADIG) for four semesters, and is currently the Assistant Art Director for the organization. Out of the games he has worked on with GADIG, he is most proud of his work on Collateral Damage, a battle royale game made in the experimental Core Engine by Manticore Games where he did work on costumes and props. He has also participated in three different game jams for the College of Visual and Performing Arts (CVPA) Jam Fest. Of the games he made in Jam Fest, he is most proud of his work on Dragon Squad, a space shoot-em-up themed around mecha anime where he designed all of the major 3D assets; this game went on to be displayed at Game Mason 2019.
Nicolo is a three-time recipient of the Tencent Games Honors Scholarship and has been on the Dean’s List for every semester. He attended the East Coast Games Conference (ECGC) in 2019 as a freshman and was selected to go on the Tokyo Game Design Study Abroad Trip in 2020 before it was cancelled.
